Here in Chicago and surrounding areas, outdoor flea market goes from mid-April to end of October. I cannot wait to go!! How many of you are looking forward to outdoor flea marketing?

I used to enjoy flea markets and yard sales but it's too hard for me to get around now.

I need to hold a yard sale. We're downsizing our stuff, so I have a lot to get rid of that is not junk.

We have an indoor flea market that open all year long but there is no heat in the building . I use to go to this one and we have one open spring through fall , I went to this one a lot when I found out about it. But like Reba I need to downsize and have giveaway a lot stuff away. I can't have yard at my condo. It would be great if we all got together at my condo and had a big yard once a year . It would be nice way to get to met your neighbors .
I loved the flea market I went to California , I could find Southwestern items that I really like.

I love flea markets but like reb and wdys I need down size bc most is crap...Last one I went to was Nr Ireland they had genuine clothes from 60's 70's I just had to have them lime green blouse and other odds and ends I was determined get this home, Belfast Airport very security mineded and said got to much in my travel bag so pop into loo and put every item on felt like Egyptian mummy..i got it home tried them on and thought for gods sake what ever made me buy this bc I looked like clown.no bring myself give it away I horder

I used to go to the flea market every week up until several years ago. Two things happened that cut me back to once every other month; first the state got involved and we lost about 1/3 of the sellers overnight and then the market raised the space fee and entrance fees to make up for the loss and they lost more sellers and buyers in the process. Basically the end result is they are slowly killing the market and there is very little of anything that I want for sale.

I've never been to one.

When I was a child, I always thought that's where you actually went to buy fleas. Sure got confused hahaha!

so did I as kid,i could never understand why mother went one every Saturday and I was not impressed if it was clothes incase of real fleas

I love the one we have just down the road. One of the best in the state. I get a lot of good old tools there. Picked up some very nice furnature over the years as well as old carbon kitchen knives. Got a nice rifle there one year too.

I am on self imposed restriction until I make the pile I have make some sense. When I slowed down there was still denial momentum carrying me along deeper into chaos. The denial is gone and hope rekindles but whoa do I have some work to do.

I tend buy stuff for sake of it with hope it worth thousands, so far no good

Smiles... Caz.. treasures ...that is it exackackly oh the treasures I've found

flea markets jumble sales got distinctive smell the aged unwashed I hate that smell

I loved going to Yard Sales around towns like here in Santa Fe and formerly on Manitoulin Island in Canada. Those were my favorite.

As for Flea Markets, they were okay but different than yard sale or garage sale. I don't care much for Flea Markets. Most Native Americans would rather have yard sales to sell or go to yard sales to buy. Pretty soon when the weather gets warmer like late Spring or early Summer, my sister and I will browse around looking for things we want to buy. :D

America got big problem with bed bugs has it always been like that...I never known of them here although sure they exsist

We have several that are open year round.....I've sold at Flea Markets before and made good $$....Got to note tho'....that a lot of Vendors at Flea Markets are selling "hot" stuff...(stolen)....Police are often there and making several arrests, mainly Tools.

I buy vegetables (especially tomatoes) at a good price....
