I am Hearing..

Hello all I am a hearing student studing deaf studies and ASL.
I have always had a uniuqe interest in Deaf people and culture and now as an adult am beging to educate myself more about your culture.

So I am attending a Deaf studies class, I have an assignment that is to inderview a Deaf person. So my "hearing" mind said how about a chat room....
but as i am learning many deaf are not very strong in written English...
But viewing these blogs i see many deaf have no problem communicating this way....

SOO I do want to interview a Deaf adult ... maybe online or perferably in person.
I live in Auburn Ca, and having a hard time finding many deaf. I have attempted 2 deaf events and no one has arrived to sign with me. :/
Let me know if you know someone or would be willing to let me ask you 20 assigned questions and another 100 of my own.
