I am a hearing aid user. I have had a lot of problem with hearing aid mold. I noticed that I have some reactions with my earmold. I remember most of time during my childhood, I don't remember why my mom and my audiologist always ordered me a mold which it was very hard because it was suitable for me. Most of my friends were so soft and colorful. And I couldn't get them. After I graduated, I was on my own, I ordered my earmold and it was very soft and colorful.

Then my ear skin had some reaction, it becames very dry, itchy and smelly. I ve told my audiologist that I was having some reactions, they were like ohh Ill get you the a better new ear mold. But then, I still have same problems....

Don't you have simliar problem? Any suggestions?

I know that I was allergic to some kind of fake metal such as earrings, it has to be real gold or silver, I wont get some reaction. Also I learned that since I found my birth family, my birth mother was allergic to plastic. I wonder we have the same thing?

I suggest you to seeing the doctor who work for allergic stuff, so they could check to seeing what you allergic to and such like that, you could ask them to checking for allergic to Ear Mold so they could check it for you?

If I were in your shoes, put the hearing aids in the bury. ;) I prefer slience of the sound and visual ASL than listen to the annoy noise.

Ohh.. Sabby,

Can't help it cuz I was born hard of hearing. So... I like to hear things. AND... DEAL WITH IT! hehehe.

It could be an allergic reaction. Have you checked with your doctor about this?
