That's something that isn't definite. There is no right or wrong way of knowing whether someone likes you or not. There are people who say they like you, but they don't. There are also people who say they don't like you, but they do. It's something I've grown tired of and given up on.
I know a few women who are always playing me... saying one thing, but doing the other. "I like a man who is caring and understanding. I don't like assholes who are drunks and dumbassed pricks." Yet, they end up leaving out the man of their dreams and going after the assholes.

Another thing... I hate it when women say, "Let's just be friends." or "We can't date because we're best friends." Who is better to date than your own friend or best friend? Who knows each other than best friends? Huh?
