How to cleanse earmoulds?

I forgot what one needs to do.

Although I remember the process of cleaning involves water, and...perhaps salt?
 
when i wore hearing aids, i used to soak the earmolds in warm soap and water. then i would wipe them off with a cloth and let them air dry.

if i had a dry and store at the time, i would have further sanitized them with that as well.

I used to do this, too.

I have never heard of using salt for earmolds.
