I'm curious...

How many kids do you have?

How many kids do you want to have?


For me;
I want to have SEVEN kids on my own since I already have one daughter. I have a feeling that everybody think that I'm nuts for wanting to have seven kids on my own. Plus, some guys who I dated with did ask me how many kids I want to have on my own, I answered; "around seven kids" and they end up got scared and run away. I was like eh.. What's wrong with wanting to have seven kids on my own? =/ I could understand about the money issues, but to be honest I barely look at money issues for kids because I raised up with my own four sisters and brother during my parents had been diffcult with money and been suffer thru for whole of my life. My dad used to be work in the morning then took care of us during evening, he wored from 6 in the morning until 3 in the evening, I barely see my mother at that time. she worked from 3 in the evening until 6 in the morning, I only saw her for breakfast and the weekends that's it. They tried to get money to support us but, they support us alot with love, caring, warming, and everything as they could, that's why I want to have 7 kids on my own so I can give them same as my parents gave me. Until, I became around 12 years old, my mom finally work from 6 in the morning to 3 in the evening same as my dad works. And we have more money to afford pretty everything better than before. I consider my parents as successful with their working so hard to support us no matter what. I'm glad that I learned that from them and want to give that to my own kids so they can learn same thing as what I learned from my own parents.

So do you think I'm nuts for wanting to have seven kids on my own? Not mention, also I want to adopt FIVE deaf kids from other countries. =/ So in total 12 kids.
 
No, I dont think you are nuts. It is obvious you have a passion for kids. Just have to ask yourself if u can handle the financial costs and having time to meet each child's need for attention from you.

I babysit 2 other kids sometimes...my son who is 2 and half, girl who is 3 and a boy who is 8 months old. After 5 hours with them, I am exhausted so I know that I cant handle having many kids. Just not me but others can.

I want 2 and I have 2. A girl and a boy..I am starting to think about adding one more but instead of getting pregnant, I want to adopt.
 
The most important factor is that the husband and wife agree how many children they will have, and how they will raise them. Both parents must be in agreement, or it will be awful.

The OP said she wanted all the kids on her own so I am assuming that she plans on raising them as a single parent.

I want to have 3 or 4 kids. I am plan to make a baby this fall. :)
 
3 children, now adults (with 1 grandson) ... 2 girls and 1 boy. :)

I originally wanted 6 kids but when my 1st child and I nearly died in childbirth, I vowed not to have any more children. But when I married for the 2nd time, I changed my mind and went on to have 2 more, smoothly this time round.

I wanted a 4th but hubby says no but that was fine with me. :)

Yes, it was a strain on our finances but we somehow managed to keep our heads above water.

I thought "on my own" meant giving birth to them. My mistake.

U could be right. I interpreted it as raising them on her own. Let's see what Whisperhorse says.

well u not only one.. since i was young i wanna 6 kids til i got older, changed my mind i wanna 1 or 2 kids thats it
 
On my own which mean birthing them on my own with the love of my life(who knows).

Shel; I could meet their needs no problem because I raised up in big family and I'm fourth of my parents' children plus, I did have few pets on my own like 9 rats, Id id give them attention by equal very well with no problems. Also once, I did babysit my niece and her 13 friends at once which its not bad ;)
 
Long time ago I was young and want 5 children but I have 2 and that s it!!!!!! :giggle:
 
I would rather have 2 or 3 kids. If I have time and money, then I might go for 4.

Of course, it would also depend on my wife and what we both agree on. :)
 
All my life, since I was as young as four or five years old, I've wanted five kids. I'm not sure why "five" is the magic number. The only thing I can think of is that my mother had five kids herself. So maybe that's where the number "five" got stuck in my head.

I'm very content and blessed with the two girls I have now. And I doubt I will ever have any more kids. :( Oh, well.
 
When I was younger I wanted 4 kids but I only got 1 kid and wanted more but my life was so screwed up by my exh so I accept what I got and I enjoy my life more then ever.
 
I've wanted 2 kids and now I have 2 kids. I would not mind going for a 3rd but in my case, having 2 kids are sufficient because I've already got my hands full. Having a 3rd one would just be overbearing for me and overwhelming.

I wanted 1 girl and 1 boy but I ended up having both boys. That's fine with me and I'm happy with the way it is. :)

WhisperHorse - To answer your question, You are not even categorized for being a nut for wanting your desires. You have your own desire to set up and to aim at the goal. Just be sure you know what will be involved because having 1 kid is not that bad as compared as having to 7 and plus children. If you think you can manage the responsibility that is involved, then I say, nothing can hold you back for it. Go for it. :)

As far as I know, I have none. If I have a wife, I would want three kids. Either boys or girls are all right with me. If by chance I win lottery or become millionaire, I would want more kids or adopt kids.
