Every parent I know who smoke, they smoke outside of their homes out of consideration for their kids' health.

As a non smoker-smoking- didn't have any bearing on me becoming bilateral deaf. Hard to believe the hypothesis unless one is "smoking in their ear" which seems unlikely.
