SO, i'm out of microphone filters for my N5, but i have A LOT of filters for my freedom..(i don't even know how that happened.) My dad is going to order some more filters for me this week, but on saturday, my friend who is deaf is going to come pick me up to go to our staff orientation for a deaf adventure camp that we are going to be working at.

I was wondering, how fast does cochlear delivers microphone filters/batteries/etc? The last time i changed my N5 filter was last month. And i thought i had more, but apparently i used my last one :(

The one and only time Cochlear shipped me a part it took about 5 business days. I am sure you can ask for express delivery which you would have to pay for. I was amazed how much CI stuff Amazon.com offers. I don't know about microphone filters tho. Good luck!!!

I've heard from some Cochlear users that they get their orders/replacements pretty quick, and others say it takes a few days. When I ordered Sound and Way Beyond, it took a few days as Cochlear had to verify my CareCredit info but then I got it within 2 days after verification. Hopefully you can get your filters pretty quick!

My dad ordered me 2 N5 mic filters, they were 34 dollars each.. he also bought a carrying case too because the one i have; the clip doesn't work very well. and we also bought some dry-moister cup thing for the carrying case. So it was a total of a 102 dollars. I will be getting it hopefully on thursday, my dad was able to pick what business day for the items to deliver, he chose 3-5 days i think. So hopefully it'll be here before saturday. If not, i'll be freaking out!

yeah random CI items are going to be pricey, no matter what.

Why are they so expensive? it doesn't make sense to me sometimes. I can understand batteries being expensive and battery case for the CI, but for just one pack of CI filters? dang.

Are you talking about those little "dots" that cover the microphone?

That is crazy!!! I can not believe they can charge that much. I guess I better start a CI savings account!!!:eek3:If insurance covers the CI surgery, will they cover the parts needed? Anyone know?

They probably do, I think if its under warranty the insurance will pay for it. I'm not really sure, my mom and my dad knows how all this money stuff works than i do :hmm:

i ordered a new wire and a few hooks for my N5 3 days ago, got the shipment two days ago. All free of course.

shoot just a small travel Duracell battery charger from the AB store costs way more than if you should buy the same charger at a Walmart. uuuhhhhh.....

It really depends on your insurance coverage. Mine does, but the problem is they have my manufacturer as "Out-of-Network" so the deductible is higher. I haven't hit the deductible within a year's time in over 6 years so it's been all out of pocket.

got my CI stuff in the mail today about a half hour ago :) thank the lord! i'm glad i got it before my busy day tomorrow, i'm leaving for camp tomorrow evening!!
