deaf people that give random people a card thing where it says you are deaf and ask for $1?

You mean ABC (fingerspelling) cards?
If so, I would be embarassing that if they are selling house by house..
one of my classmate sold that cards in almost whole town.. he made almost over 2,000 dollars but police busted him.. and went jail for almost 6 months.
<snickers> i am so glad that he went to jail for that hehehe

oh shit !!! my ex bf force HC who she is on wheelchair go sell abc cards and got about 250 dollars sumthing in one day police almost busted his azz ! but he make up good excuse about HC blahh clever !! sheesh i NEVER touch the cards hell no !!

yes it is illegal here.. after cops busted few times and decided to make it illegal.. in late 90's

Yes. That is what I mean.

When I was in my teen years, my aunt asked me to go to mall with her so I did. We went to a food court and found a table. A few minutes later, some stranger left a card on our table and my aunt picked it up and was like "Kevin! You gotta see this". I took a look at it. I was embarassed and like, "Who cares". When he came up to us and my aunt gave him a dollar and told him that I am deaf too. "Hello, I'm deaf too. My name is Kevin and what is your name?" He didn't respond back and left us. What a fag. I hate people when they pretend to be deaf so they can make money. Even if they are deaf or not, they make us (deaf community) look bad by asking people for $. That is like you live on a street and you go and ask people to put money in your cup with fill of shit.

late 90's ? i did not know about that wow !!! few friends of mine the police did busted their ass tell them to leave now but first time police told one of my friend pls dont sell just go home and hands him 20 dollars sent him home with other friends whoooa !!

Oh man.. You really got me started on one!! I get so very PISSED off when I see a deaf person handing those card out asking for money. "Bitch, give me those cards!" *rips all of them into pieces* "Now, go find a fucking job! If I can find a job or 3, so can you!"
 
I've had my share of them. I always tested them to see if they really were deaf. I would say "Thank you but I already know the ABCs. Have a nice day." Some of them just look at me :shock: and some just ask me where I am from, etc... I really think it is a shame but... some of it is run by mafia organisation that brings deaf workers from other country to here, and put them in small rooms to live, and force them to sell on trains or train stations. ABC once did a show about it in 1990s about a Mexican family who brought all deafies from Mexico to NYC. Pretty sad...

I knew, that deaf from Ukraine, Russia and other country, former USSR go France, Germany and other country in Europe to sell not only ABC cards also key chain and e.t.c. but they said they bought whole store and sell, got profit, some of them left changes, other-tips. I dont like that job either it looks like begging. Also terrible, leader collects tax, if cops busted deaf ppl cheater-leader he got tax in his pocket & sleep well, unfair, I disagree. There is many things Leader makes up rules :roll: many deaf quit some got patience need money to bring in Ukraine. :(

:shock: Eek. I never have came across to getting one of those cards, or seen anyone selling them. I hope I dont, I don't know what I'll do if I do meet someone who's trying to sell those cards.. wait and see IF i do see one. :o :roll:

u right, someone sent deaf ppl to do for him and he got tax as profit few for deaf ppl, I wish deaf ppl disagree and quit leader have nothing :madfawk:
 
Yea, I pretended that I'm hearing and told the deaf bums that I don't have any money.
