If enough people carried guns, this wouldn't happen. I wouldn't carry one but wouldn't mind if others do. Gun carriers are the sanest people around because of the sense of responsibility. Know what I mean?

No, I do not know what you mean b/c not all gun carriers are sane , and about kids that got a hold of their parents gun thinking it was toy and accidently killing another kid. The mother on the CT shooting left her guns out knowing her son had mental health issues and she is now dead plus 20 kids. That was from a lack of responsibility.

these innocent people weren't killed by gun carriers. they were killed by lunatics with illegally-obtained weapons and/or ill-intent.

the term "gun carriers" refers to law-abiding armed citizens to defend themselves and loved ones from the harm.

I am talking about LEGAL gun carriers who go through stringent background checks.

I don't believe that. It is the fears that can put innocent people into danger when they carry the guns in public. They don't know anything about responsibilities of using the guns just to defend and protects families from harm. Anything could happen in the home and out in public.

Guns is dangerous no matter what. Look at the police departments all over United States and probably Canada. Those police officers used guns to shoot or kill innocent people and even use violence on them like beating, usually two or three police officers against one person. They should have handcuff the person whether innocent or criminal. They should not have to beat on the person. Geeze.

When you see a person who carry the gun(s) in public, in my mind, they are cowards who are much afraid of anyone whether innocent or crazy including the criminal.

That is why I want to have the guns ban so that no one get hurt or kill. It is like a bully. A bully is scared but tried not to show it. So they have to use a weapons or power over the timid person or someone who is different like being diversity (different culture, tradition, handicapped, different languages, ugly, weird looks and customs) which the bully don't think that those different person are not normal. We are all not perfect and have to adapt to our differences just because we were not like them. It is the same like hearing people expect us to be like them. They forget that we are deaf in spite of our hearing aid and CI. So they torment us to be like them but we can not. So the bully for no reason at all just scared of meeting a person who are different. That is my thought about all those fears of people shooting or killing the wrong people for no reason at all.

You don't need guns just because you are scared. :(

Will the criminals obey the ban?

No.

Only law-abiding people obey bans.

That means, no law-abiding people would have guns, and criminals would still have guns.

I do not want see guns ban , I do want places that are easy targets have more security like our schools . We have to more to protect our children , we can no longer send them to school like we went to school. I just think is nuts for people to believe that 'law abiding people' will always follow the law.
I knew of a guy that everyone thought was a 'law abiding 'citizen. He owned a gun legally and was a very quiet man but that did not stop him from shooting a woman's husband b/c the 2 where having a fight. All his neighbors where shocked . Law abiding people have emotions just like everyone else and they can get caught up in the heat of the moment .

Well, unfortunately, those situations are unpreventable but some people suggested that armed teachers could be working to narrower the tragic - less death, less injury.
