I post this to let everyone know, including the hetero people, about the Homophobia and Transphobia. Those people are absolute sick and are not funny, here is the way to stop them.

14 Ways Homophobia and Transphobia Affect Everyone*
Homophobia and transphobia affect everyone; they have serious consequences for both GLBTQ and straight youth.

Ways that Homophobia and Transphobia Affect GLBTQ Youth

Homophobia and transphobia make many GLBTQ youth feel isolated, lonely, and ashamed.

Homophobia and transphobia create an environment in which GLBTQ youth may have to face harassment and even violence in their schools, communities and/or homes.

Homophobia and transphobia make some GLBTQ youth 'act straight' to hide their sexual orientation or gender identity.

Homophobia forces many gay, lesbian, bisexual, and questioning youth to become sexually active before they really want to, choosing partners of the opposite sex just to hide their sexual orientation or their questions.

Transphobia forces many transgender youth to become sexually active before they really want to just so they can hide their gender identity.

Homophobia and transphobia contribute to the self-doubt that makes many GLBTQ youth turn to drugs and/or alcohol to numb their feelings.

Homophobia and transphobia cause many GLBTQ youth to drop out of school and/or run away.

Homophobia and transphobia cause many GLBTQ youth to think about and/or even attempt suicide. Many of the youth who kill themselves are GLBTQ.

How Homophobia and Transphobia Affect Straight Youth

Homophobia and transphobia pressure straight people to act unkindly or even cruelly towards GLBTQ people and encourage bullying and cruelty toward anyone whose appearance or behavior isn't sufficiently 'macho' or 'feminine' (from the viewpoint of the bully).

Homophobia and transphobia force straight people to act 'straight,' limiting their individuality and self-expression. Straight youth often choose their clothes, hair color/style, friends, and even behavior to 'prove' that they are not GLBTQ.

Homophobia and transphobia can destroy family relationships. Some parents, sisters, brothers, and even grandparents break off their relationships with GLBTQ family members.

Homophobia and transphobia lead many straight youth to become sexually active before they really want to just to 'prove' they are straight.
Homophobia, along with racism, sexism, and poverty, makes it hard to end the HIV epidemic.

Homophobia and transphobia make it very hard for straight people and GLBTQ people to be friends.

Homophobia and transphobia make it nearly impossible for people to appreciate diversity and the wonderful variety that exists among all people.

WHAT IS HOMOPHOBIA?

Homophobia is a dislike, fear or hatred of homosexuality which can result in prejudice and discrimination. It can occur at home, in school, on the street, in the workplace, in fact anywhere. It can come from someone you know or a stranger.

"All human beings are born equal in dignity and human rights"

Article 1, Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

"A homophobic incident is any incident which is perceived by the victim
or any other person to be motivated by homophobia"

This could include bullying, assault, harassment, blackmail, robbery, verbal or physical abuse. Homophobic crimes are senseless because they come from prejudice and ignorance.

WHAT EFFECT DOES HOMOPHOBIA HAVE?

All crimes have a negative effect but homophobia can be particularly damaging. This is because it can have a deeply emotional effect, leaving the victim feeling angry, isolated and with lack of self-esteem.

WHAT CAN YOU DO.......

...... to keep safe
be aware of your surroundings
carry a mobile phone or panic alarm
travel with friends
be sensible, don't take unnecessary risks.

......in an emergency

set off you panic alarm
shout, scream, make lots of noise to draw attention
get to a safe place quickly
run away - don't get yourself beaten up or worse. You have nothing to prove - keep yourself safe
dial 999

......to report it

You don't have to give us any personal information unless you want to. We would rather you report the incident(s) so we can make Buckinghamshire a safer place for all of the community.

If you do not give us any personal information then we will not be able to contact you to tell you what action has been taken regarding your report.

Stop Homophobia

I am so FULL of anti-discrimination for absolute anything.

it seems helpful. i wonder, whats their opinions on this. :)

It depends on various of people. We cannot force them to accept homosexual and transsexual.

Yea, I know. Let me tell you the truth. I know you will roll your eyes because it is the most common for religions. It is unnessescary to discuss, but just facing the truth according to bible.
If people worship in the religions, so they will not accept the gays.

Give people some time, and they will understand the reasonable why they should not be afraid of them.

Yeah, sadly..

I understand about people with their own religions, but homophobia or transphobia is more like trying to force people to not be gay. Most of the time the religious people are not like that. If they accept others as gay, they are not a homophobia nor transphobia, but if they did something against their sexual orientation, then that's homophobia or transphobia.

Yeah I agree with you, people need to take time to understand and respect.

Agreed, right.

Let me you the truth.. it's kinda of embrassing for me to say it..:|

When i was 12 years old, I *NEVER* understood the homosexuality culture. I found out that my best friend was lesbo (now bisexual) and dumped her cruelly, I know, it was so harsh because I did not understand at all. But, it was almost week later, she and I were back together as best friend again because i really needed her..

Slowly to get over the homosexuality -- however...

In around 2004, I learned about the same-sex marriage when I was a senior at the high school but it was actually upset me a lot. Because it did make me so sad for them who "will not" go to Heaven if they are bisexual or homosexual, but it is not true that I found out later (last year).

Until my best friend brought me to meet her good friend's house and I was realized her good friend had two mommies and three children (11, 8, 2). Somehow, I learned a lot from two mommies and, in the fact, they were married. I realized how much love is more importance than just color skins or gender, and all matters.

I now am completely understand why and... am finally get over it last year and a half ago (i think), at the last! :) Thanks to my favorite best friend. :D

Great story!

I have to admit that I do not feel comfortable being around people who had undergone transgender change because they remind me of pedophile. I know they are different, but still. Why would a man want to get a castration and seek an estrogen treatment? Why can't he just say he likes men and acts normal?

I might be transphobic, but it is not like I have a strong hatred of transgender. I find them idiosyncratic, peculiar, and weird. I don't care much about gay people who act like themselves. I have no problem with drag queens, I understand its about costume, pride, and culture thing.

Have you ever heard of Gender Dysphoria? Transsexual doesn't mean that they are doing it for fun, if you think there is people change their sexual identify just for fun, then that is a Draq Queers, Transsexual is not like that. Those people usually find out that they do not match with their own gender identify at their age of 2 and it won't stop bothering them for their own live till they finally do something about it.

I know one who are transsexual (female to male) and he act like men, look like exactly male, stuff, it's really amazing. Transsexual is very different than the draq queers, they don't act silly girlish or act silly macho men like the queers act, they are just like normal people.
