I am recovering from a stomach virus and I gotta admit, it hasn't been "pretty". It feels like my colon is on fire. Does anyone have any home remedies? I am going to see the doctor tomorrow but just thought I would ask.

So, I guess nobody is giving out any home remedy secrets then? No herbal recipes? No soothing aromatherapuetical effervescence? Nothing?

hmmm .. tough crowd

I've been there. The colon on fire part is NOT fun. Feels like you're sitting on a rocket waiting to blast off.

Now the best thing I can think of is to drink something cool, and maybe that'll help? I have no idea, cause I haven't had that situation in a while.

Even if I know of one I would not give it to you because it could made you sicker. Home remedies are not wise to give out.

Yes, they could. That's why a person should do what the doctor says, which is usually bed rest and drink plenty of fluids.

Ok, while you guys figure out whether or not to give out home remedies, I will be grazing out in my back yard ...

Sorry, I don't have any to give. I don't know any home remedies for stomach viruses. Just stay hydrated, and don't share it with others.

Sometimes these things just have to pass.

Yep .. doing a lot of that ... passing ... bleah ...

I'll try the herbal tea ..

You better the ingredients in the tea there is black licorice in some teas which is good black for constipation . My ex husband was drinking a lot of black licorice tea and I warned him that he will be sorry , my ex found out the hard at work! He was running to the bathroom all day. You really need to be care with herbal teas just because it's natural does not made is safe for everyone.

Hopefully it will just run it's course and be gone soon. Most important is to not pass this on to TJ. White rice and bananas might help with the diarrhea. Hope you feel better soon. Not the best way to start the New Year.

I actually got it from him. Tis the season to be giving falalalalala

I heard there's a really nasty stomach flu going to be going around this year. You're the third person I've seen posting about it I. The last week, all from different states.

Supposedly flat ginger ale is supposed to be soothing, stir it in a glass with a metal spoon, it will dissipate all the CO2. Hydrate hydrate hydrate, the worst thing about stomach bugs is dehydration, you ummmm pass way to much water. So Gatorade, probably not a strong flavor. Toast

Good luck

Shtuff. Whoa Ambrosia. A new word thank you. I wish I knew of a remedy Steinhauer. It is kind of like a gunnysack love affair. The only thing that works really well is Tincture of Time.

Happy New Year man it is all up from here!
