Since reading so so so many misrepresenting view of christianity or say wrong idea what christian really is and who is. So much of degrading, rude remarks, accussation and excuses. By saying christian thinks they are right, others are wrong, them christians think they ate holier than thou and on they ranting. True, there are some christians behaving that way, but that's not how christians been taught. Even saying, I had a best friend for long time till I found out he/she is a christian, he/she turn me off. You know why the person turn his/her off? Its not bec they pressure or anything, all bec he/she is a christian, behavior is not the person concern. Going to heaven has NOTHING to do with what they do or rligion they do. All it is, what JESUS DID, NOT WHAT WE DO. That's nothing to do with "holier than thou", true, some do, but a lot don't. Center of christianity is peace, love, forgivness and edification. Jesus has taught that and by looking at the cross and see what Jesus said and what He had done for us, so we should do the same for others. Some just seeking to blame christians, and finding faults, but careless of many christians who show genuine love, peace, forgiveness and edification. Forgive one another as God forgive you, which Christ Himself has done on the cross, so do others likewise. His arms stretch to show His surmountable love toward us. All are equal at the foot of the cross. Its for everyone, no exceptional.

As for myself, I don't believe in " holier than thou " thing. It will NEVER happen. Yeah, I've read about " holier than thou " in other threads. It's kinda of annoyin' when they think some Christians are better than others just because, they are " holier than thou ". Gee - I don't feel it is right. See, I was right about one thing... that the " religions " cause war. All the fightin' about which religion is right. I pressed one more time here that there's NO religion in the eyes of God, period !

Jesus have NO name for any religion.

Do you call yourself a Christian?

Tell me what do you call me after I accepted Him as my personal Saviour ? Any name for me ? Hmm ?

Yes, I am.

" Christ " = Jesus
" ian " = person

Christ-ian = Christian

Then you're in a religion. :)

You said Jesus have no name for any religion. Therefore, Christianity should be considered a religion.

Whether you like it or not... it is a religion.

Then, that's YOUR opinion. We both don't see the same. ;)

It's amazing how you fail to see it. You're being a hypocrite by contradicting your own words!

Huh ? You said " Whether you like it or not... it is a religion."

So I said " Then, that's YOUR opinion. We both don't see the same. "
How am I bein' a hypocrite by contradictin' my own words ? Gee - you expected me to AGREE with you what you believe. I don't agree with you. Sorry, dude.

It is your own definition not ours and I have to disagree with u on this one.

Holier than thou? It is alike biggest ego, I am better person than u but it will come back to them and hit them hard if they ever think like that. It goes around and it will come back to them. We all have to be careful with our thoughts, feelings, words without attack others, so on in order to do right thing with God. It is not easy task for everyone.

I'm afraid it isn't my definition, it is according to CyberRed's own definition that I pointed out... it's not my opinion, I'm just pointing out the hypocrisy here.

To quote CyberRed...

there's NO religion in the eyes of God, period !

Jesus have NO name for any religion.

The word, "Christian" is a religious term. Therefore, you are involved with a religion if you refer to yourself as a Christian.

You said that Jesus Christ have no name for ANY religion. So, how can you call yourself a Christian when he has no name for any?

It's different when you say you are a follower of Jesus Christ, but to call yourself a Christian... that's using a religious term. This is what I meant when I said that you had contradicted yourself.

Figures.

This is sticky way how to look at. There are all different religions include jews and christians. But important part is, who established it, God had chosen the jews and align toward christian. But christian is part of religion, but since when Christ died on the cross and rose from the dead and those who have believed and received Christ become the chosen one. Make it clarify, again, christian can be religious, but all God wants is involve in your life as a relationship. Being too religious as of trying to live up to God's standard does alter God works in you.

Okay I got it. Yes I do following His teaching which is a religion therefore I am a Christian. But what she was trying to say, there is too many religion organzations with name alike Baptist, Luthern, Catholic, Mormon, and so on. He has no name for any of those religion organization. Trouble with those names, we got in big conflict among oursleves believers alike one in Ireland, they are killing eachother because of their different faiths. I do not believe Jesus Chrsit ask for any of this, blood on His hands. Anyway but u do have a good point here.

I don't think you get it very clear. I am talkin' about as a " person ", not " religion ". It's true that Jesus have NO name for any religion such as Mormon, or J.W. or things like that. J.W. will say " I am J.W. " or they could say " I am a Mormon ". That's what I am tryin' to explain. I am NOT one of these religions. I am far from it.

As you can see, we both see DIFFERENT. I am not contradictin' myself. If, you keep thinkin' that I am STILL contradictin' myself - then, I will say that I am still disagreein' with you in despite of what you call me bein' a hypocrite. In fact, I am not hypocrite just because, we think and see differently -- no matter how things are. If, you believe what things are yourself, then I will respect what YOU believe. I also expect you do the same in return. I don't need a civil war here. Just accept my disagreement and difference.

Exactly ! You are a mind-reader. But, thanks for understandin' me ! :)

Um, CyberRed, once again, your ignorance is showing. That goes the same for the rest of you who ignorantly agree with CyberRed.

Perhaps I should educate you all igrunts...

Christianity is a RELIGION.

Proof?

Christianity - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

christianity - Definitions from Dictionary.com

Christianity is a religion. When you're a Christian, you are practicing Christianity which is a religion. Comprehend?

God DOES know what religion you practice. Guess you don't remember the times when God got angry at idol worshippers? He recognized them as practicing a religion of their own and he didn't like it. If God didn't know religion, he wouldn't have an issue.

A word, "Christian" does NOTHING with a religion. Christian means a believer in Christ.
