Much has been made about Hillary Clinton’s “Scooby” van, with reporters even looking like clowns while chasing after it in Iowa.

On Thursday during a campaign stop in Council Bluffs, Iowa, Clinton was spotted exiting a coffee shop and greeting onlookers – unlike that trip to Chipotle.

There was only one problem as she approached that famous “Scooby”

Since when politicians and cops are above the laws?
 
The one picture available with this link is not that clear. The angle is such that the van could be in the next parking space beside the handicapped one. Also does anyone know if there was any staff along that qualified for use of a handicapped space?

Maybe Hillary does. She did some damage falling that required special eyeglasses for a while.

Maybe she has balance issues.

If you view the video from which the still picture was made, it's very clearly parked there.

You mean like the Secret Service agents who are driving the van and riding with her?

She should do that!! in some humor way, of making her hubby jelly for what he had done in the past. LOL It would make AMERCIA so interesting! :lol:
 
Someone quoted to me..."Why not vote for Hillary?"...."Look at all that experience she has with Bill!"....:giggle:
 
I don't think we should make any assumptions, same as we shouldn't for anyone else using a HC spot when we don't know EVERYTHING. I've seen people use HC spots that don't appear to be HC but it's not my place to judge as said people may have issues not readily apparent.
 
HC not bad woman ..I wonder if she going look under the table at White house.Unlikely she be driving Scooby van when she gets in..Any how good on her OAP running for office.
I have feel sorry for daughter eight years of security when dad was in and prob another eight years when mum gets in 16 years of it

She has memory issues, too.

Hillary Rodham Clinton fudged her family history at a campaign appearance in Iowa Wednesday when she described her grandparents as immigrants.

“All my grandparents, you know, came over here and, you know, my grandfather went to work in a lace mill in Scranton, Pa.,” Clinton said.

But, acccording to documents posted on Buzzfeed.com, only one of her grandparents immigrated, while the others were born in the United States shortly after their parents arrived.

A spokesperson for Clinton said that although her grandparents were not officially immigrants, they regularly spoke about the “immigrant experience.”
“As a result, she has always thought of them as immigrants,” the spokesman told BuzzFeed News.

They still have to have either HC plates or placard. Does the Scooby van have either of those?
 
A lot of times, security issues trump local ordinances and laws for candidates and political figures. It may be that the SS determined it was best for Hillary to be parked as close to the door as possible, to limit her exposure. If they cannot get complete control over the line-of-sight of a public appearance, these decisions have to be made.

If Pres. Obama had made such a stopover, parking all around that restaurant would have been severely affected. And probably street traffic as well.

Generally, the handicapped sign would have been 'bagged' with a special cover saying something like "by order of police, this space reserved". I guarantee that if this photo is gleaning negative press, the SS will make certain that is how the situation is managed in the future.


In this case, and for good reason--Hillary (and all OTHER major political figures, of whatever stripe) ARE above the law.
