High Lake Michigan waves causes significant damage to city lakefront

Somewhere today think i read or saw something to do with draining lake or what will happen if it drained I think it documentary I missed or you posted it..something I wanted to see
 
thought guy swimming idiot but hubby said he Englishman so not idiot he got guts and outdoor swimming like that become Olympic sport..
I live by sea so see this all time roads etc flooded but must be scary if not use to it

And I'm very thankful I had advance warning about it, which allowed me to make necessary adjustments. At least today is much better, and far more calmer.
 
do the lake often have big waves...maybe that the documentary I missed today something going wrong with lake ..strange documentary to have unless X-files think something is going wrong with lake,be dreadful

Waves this big don't happen often, much less this kind of damage.

It's going to take a long while before they can open that path again. Might be at least 2 years, but then again, they could make the rconstruction a high priority for this winter.

Chicago gets super windy. The wind gusts were over 50mph on the lake which caused the huge waves. It looked more like an ocean than a lake.

Chicago O'Hare airport had it's very first measurable snow on Halloween.

I think some of you are in for a brutal winter. If it gets too bad you can always come visit me.HAHA
