I have been reading this fourm since it started. So, I decided to join. I am deaf, single and I was thinking of applying for MediClerk Program to take some Medical Terminology courses there but I need to know how many deaf/HOH people are successful to get this job? Like pros and cons, for example.
Thanks,
Sosie
P.S. Ask me away if you need to know about me but it depends on. :)

Hi, it's me again. I meant to say that I have reading this fourm sometimes since it started. Duh, me... My apologies!

Thanks for the welcome, TweentyBird, Schermy and Lil_country_gal!!!!

I will write soon when I get back from my cruise trip.

Again, :ty:

Hi RR and everyone,

I am sorry that I didn't get back to you any sooner. I was SO tired from my cruise trip, which I still am.
I apologize!

This morning, I went to the hospital for the scan for my thyroid. I should hear from my doctor about my results soon.

I enjoyed the cruise immensely. I don't care about cancelling one of the 3 islands (is Labadee, Haiti), but I think it's worth to meet new and old friends, to have a blast time there! :ty:

They said they found two nodules and they also said they think it's best to have my entire thyroid glands removed, according to the surgeon and the Endocrinologist. I agreed with their recommendations. Well, I had a surgery 5 months ago. They sent me home the very next day because my Thyroid/Calcium were good. The surgeon's office called one of my family to let us know that the pathology report's back and it is good. I do NOT have cancer. The report was "benign". I was so relieved to hear that it's good news. *Hallelujah*

I am seeing the Endo every 3 months to check my Thyroid/Calcium levels, etc. (She's a very nice doctor. She understands how I feel? She knows about the ADA law, to have an ASL interpreter to be there for my appointment and so forth...) Everytime, I have had my medications changed or one (or two) of the doses increased, that drives me crazy. I found this frustrating. Does anyone have similar problem like this?

Hello Everyone,

I am back.

First, I owe you all an apology for saying that I was thinking of leaving here. I was having a bad day yesterday. I have to learn to deal with that. Oh, well... Maybe it's my "crazy" hormones.

Secondly, I want to thank you guys to welcome me. I will continue posting in here as much as I can but it depends on my schedule, like my odd jobs and my schooling, etc. Also, I am running a fundraiser, that just start recently. This should be fun but crazy...

Thanks again for welcoming me, guys!!!! :)
