I'm new to the deaf community, I've recently started to learn BSL and wish I had started to learn years ago as I can't wait for the next lesson each week.

I'm 28 and live in Birmingham, looking to chat and maybe make a few friends along the way.

I'm James, also in the UK studying at Loughborough University so not too far away

As part of my course in Product Design, I'm looking to design a musical instrument specifically aimed towards the needs of a deaf or HOH person. I have a thread here, http://www.alldeaf.com/deaf-musicians/71000-designing-instrument-deaf-hoh.html

I'm not sure if you're interested in music yourself, but if so it'd be great if you could comment. Also do you have any deaf or HOH friends which play an instrument? Any comments at all would be helpful.
