Newcomer from Mass here. I'm profoundly deaf (1 dead ear, 95 loss in other),read lips,do not sign but would like to learn. Would like to meet other HOH or deaf people and compare experiences.
to AllDeaf forum. Look for Mass. Hearing Society and ask them if they have ASL classes or other place where someone can teach ASL. If there is Deaf community, you can immerse with other Deaf people and you can learn from them. Anyway, I hope you enjoy reading and posting all the threads here. Have fun with us. See you around.

Of course, you must take your hearing aids off when going to bed just like glasses or false teeth. And for the hearing aids, you can choose to keep your hearing aids on or turn off your hearing aids or take them off so that you can have silence if you want. This is up to you what you feel comfortable.
