thanks to everyone for the welcome! I did want to respond to a few things, I am trying to teach my daughter asl I do sign what I do know. But I can say that I'm sure it's not proper knowing asl is like broken Spanish. Where as see is the correct way of signing. I'd like to learn see over asl so that way I'm better educated and so is she.
As for where my implant broke, unfortunately it's not the wire I wish it was it's only be 150 to replace it's the implant it's self where the microphone is sposed to be. It's cracked open the piece is missing it's exposed and well to get a new implant as I found out today will cost 7800. Alot more than the 50 I have in savings right now lol. We are trying to see if cochlearamerica.com will help us they do have some financing, and so,e ppl who work with insurance companies. Maybe they can help us there.
As for the area im in it's Laveen quite a ways from the center of phx but it's still phx. anyways I tend to type a lot and don't want to bore anyone lol.
