Hello! I am 20 years old and I live in Tennessee. I am currently going to college here and I am studying ASL,I just got through my second semester,so I still have alot to learn! I came across this website looking for events that take place around here,and I found some great opportunities :D I am looking forward to meeting new people on here, this board is great!

You are in the same area as "Peaches the Clown"(Lisa) - cdbicdb, I think is her ID here as well as on You Tube.
She is very involved in everything there so watch for her postings about D/deaf events and such.

If you have Facebook, search for the group called, "Deaf Chat - Chattanooga Tn" and join the group. They have social/gathering at Starbucks near Hamilton Place in East Brainerd/Gunbarrel every month. :)

There used to be one at the bowling alley near the old EastGate mall (or in Red Bank). I don't know if Battlefield Association of the Deaf still does it though. Perhaps the members here from the Chattanooga (TN-GA-AL) area would know more and share with you all. :)

I grew up in Tennessee about a hour drive from Chattanooga.
