I signed up for this site awhile ago but never got around to posting. Guess I am a chronic lurker.
A lil about me, I am a single mom to a handsome almost 5 year old (birthday on friday!). I am hearing and my son is hard of hearing. He has a moderate to severe conductive hearing loss. He also has global developmental delays, a small heart defect, a chromosome abnormality (triplication in his first chromosome, only one documented in the world so far), and a decreased immune system.
I came here to be able to make the best choices I can for my son and to be more educated. I took 2 years of ASL in high school and a course in college and my grandfather taught me some when I was little because hes hard of hearing, thought he has cochlear implants now.
