I'm interested in learning how to sign, and this forum seems like a good place to hang while I look for some local classes.
I'm not deaf, I already have a different career path, and I don't have a deaf partner haha. Mostly, I just find it interesting. I went camping with a girl who signed, and it was really beautiful, almost like an art form.
I have a small heritable disability that causes me to excel in written communication but have difficulty with verbal and emotional interaction. I dunno how signing will interact with this, but ya know.. gonna find out
