Hey guys,
My name is Mike. I'm a senior in college studying Economics and Government. I currently live in Virginia, although I plan to move to DC when I graduate. Although I'm very interested in ASL and have tried to pick up what I can, I've never attended a school that taught it. Worse yet, I just got a job for after I graduate that is very travel-heavy, so I won't be stationary enough to take a class at a local university. Would you guys recommend any online or CD resources that effectively teach ASL? Also, are there resources for students learning ASL to chat online with folks to practice their signing? I feel like many Deaf people would be annoyed chatting with someone struggling to grasp their language. Where can I find people who will put up with my poor signing ability so I can improve!
Look forward to chatting with all of you!
