My name is Stephanie and I am hearing. My fiancé is Deaf. He has taught me Pidgin Signed English (PSE) and I am now taking classes for an ASL certification. I have a Bachelor's degree in psychology. I plan on achieving a Master's degree and becoming a clinical psychologist, hopefully with some Deaf/HoH clientele.

He grew up learning Signed Exact English (SEE), learned ASL in a month during middle school, and now prefers using PSE. He uses old signs with his parents and new signs with me.

Too bad Jill is not here. She is a psychologist who works with dhh kids who may appear to be "doing well". But yes, there is a HUGE need for dhh friendly psychologists!
