I see you have problem with cc on MCE2005 & I run into same problem too. white text - white background duh? What a joke!!

Did you install WinDVD, PowerDVD or NVIDIA PureVideo Decoder?
also
you can link at The Green Button - Your Media Center Community they have problem green background etc..

next Month, new Vista, CC will Solid black Background!
