I live in North Carolina and I came to these forums in search of others like me because I haven't found a friend who truly understands what HOH and the Deaf community have been through and what we have to put up with every now and then. Yes, a lot of us deafs know what you are talking about and, sad to say, I thought the public schools had learned their lesson and learned how to deal with deaf kids after dealing with me and the ones that are older and same age. Apparently not.
I'm older than average university student, aiming for law school to advocate and get rich by forcing public schools to comply with what deaf kids need and want. Time is overdue, by the sound of your intro post. Welcome aboard!
