I don't know if this is where I ask this but I have to learn how to sign a song and I'm having trouble figuring out out to phrase one part. The line is Don't you let me down and I translated it to DON'T DISAPPOINT but I'm not sure if I can sign that. Can anyone help me?
 
1. I did not ask anyone to translate the entire song for me and you don't even know if this is for school or if I am even a student.

2. I asked for help with one phrase. There is no such thing on this website that I found that can help me and I have looked on several websites but can not find a different word to sign.

No, I wouldn't want any help from someone as rude as you. Everyone makes mistakes and everyone knows that unless they're shallow. I only asked for help, you didn't have to be such a witch.

Again, I never said I asked anyone to translate a whole song. I asked someone to help with a WORD. The rules also say that you can ask a question if there isn't anything on the site that can help you which is exactly what I did.

I don't really know what to say if you only needed some help with a single word... The answer's out there is all I'm going to say.

No shit. Have you heard of ASL pro? USE IT. Don't come in here expecting people to just do some menial task for you.

and they're right its not that they aren't willing to help.. but they're not just here to help.. you're a new member..trying getting to know AD members a while and then ask :P because what usually happens is you come and "try" getting what you need.. you get it then you leave..and never come back.
This is a forum to learn and socialize not just for random moments where you need help..
there is ASL dictionaries out there ;) Alex mentioned a great one ;)

We don't mean to be so rude .. but i hope you understand :)

Thank you Violet!! ( But if they paid me, I would become the ASL help desk for new students. If they didn't mind my sense of humor. :lol: )

First of all, you don't know me. I wasn't just posting for "a random moment of help." I was going to be active in this forum until I found out everyone here are complete asses. If this forum is being run by bitches that disrespect anyone looking for help then fuck this place. There are plenty of other forums and websites.

Second, I DID use ASL Pro you dolt. I looked on several different dictionary websites before coming to this forum. That was the whole point I came here.

I think you are just getting a bad break on your view of the AD people. I too am new to the forums, and have found the people here are nice and welcoming. Give them a chance and you will find the same. They just tend to get burnt out on getting questions right off the bat and then those asking vanish..
Personally I am only about four months into learning sign on my own, so I tend not to post on these since I am NO WAY able to answer them, but I felt the negative view you have gotten was not what commonly happens.
Just my 2 cents.
P.S. ASL Pro is a great site btw.
