I am slowly going deaf. My Dr said my ear drums are caving in. Has anyone else heard of this?

I have this same trouble with my ear drums caused by negative pressure (Chronic Eustachian Tube Dysfunction). Is that what your doctor says you have too? I have had many Tympanoplasty surgeries that have failed in my right ear because the negative pressure is severe until recently another but with cartilage grafts placed behind the ear drum to "hold" the ear drum. I have the same trouble with my left ear but less severe, right now it's just causing slight cave in & tiny hole. I will probably require surgery in my left ear later as well.

edit: The condition has eroded my ear bones in my right ear so much that my doctor decided to replace them with prosthesis but then later had to remove that as well because it didn't heal properly and was just going to cause me to have more infections. I have a hearing implant in that ear (right ear) now as well, no longer have ear bones in that ear. Mild bones erosion has began in my left ear but my doctor is keeping an eye on it and will suggest surgery if things get worse in the left ear too.
