hi, all. i was hoping someone could help me. i'm studying to be a sign language interpreter and for one of my classes i have to interview a deaf person who has used an interpreter before and write a paper. would anyone be willing to answer a few simple questions for me? it would really help me out. hope to hear from you.

after having surfed through the forum a bit and reading some posts, i realize, this is not in the right place. sorry. instead of reposting i thought i would just put my questions here and hope that a couple of people would share their opinions and experiences with me.

1. are there certain situations you prefer not to have an interpreter? what are they and why?

2. does an interpreter's cerification (or lack of) hold value or meaning to you? why or why not?

i'll just leave at that and i would be very interested in anything else you care to add about your own thoughts or experiences with interpreters.
thank you so much for your help.
