Hi Gnarlydorkette, I will keep you in my prayers and I thought the same thing when I visited Gallaudet ... too cliched up and I thought maybe I would not be so accepted there like I was at NTID because of my strong personality

and how so loose Gallaudet was in contrast to NTID being serious about focusing on studying. Both universities party hard but I would have to say Gallaudet's partying to me..... it seems is out of control while I visited NTID it every body partied and knew when to stop and go study.

Remember this is what it seemed like to me.

I hope things will get better with time. I think it would be a good experience in some ways and in some ways not too as well. Maybe in 5 years the both of you could move to Rochester, NY to experience the Deaf community and I know that Rochester is more of a Deaf family environment than what I saw in Washington DC ... it seems everybody wants to hide from each other in Washington Dc but in Rochester , everybody is strong and wants to get together as a family of families. You both could think about staying in Washington DC maybe 2 to 5 years then Rochester NY and see how that goes ? :) :thumb: God Bless
