Hi,
I am new to this, but i have a question. I am hearing and recently have been involved in learning ASL for the last two years. I am planning on majoring in something with ASL when i am in college. What schools are the best for that major? Thanks

I would say, first of all, ask your ASL teachers.

--That said, I have heard Ohio State has a very good program. CSUN (here where I am) has a very good deaf studies program as well, and its interpreting program is starting to get quite a good reputation.
Really, it depends on where you want to live and what exactly you want to do with ASL. Interpreting? Teaching? Social work? Different schools are stronger in different areas.
If you aren't quite sure what you want to do with ASL yet and don't want to spend big money at a university trying to figure it out, join an ITP (Interpreter Training Program) at a community college. Not only will your ASL skills improve, but you can figure out if interpreting is something you want to do.
California has plenty of good ITPs, and once you have lived in California for a year you can get in state tuition at CSUN, (The difference is like $12,000 a year).
Good luck, and keep signing!
