radioman-- It does make sense but what doesn't make any sense to me is; I have tried Viable Vision on my Alienware laptop which is also Vista based. It's connected to exactly same router and it has inner webcam too. It works just fine on my laptop. So, why wouldn't it be working on my parent's laptop. My parent's acer laptop is very new. We purchased it two days ago, so we don't think that the problem lies in the Acer laptop. Nor the Alienware, of course. (I really don't want to bring my Alienware because I am very concerned with the fact that it might get robbed and it's too big/heavy. However, I'll consider the options of bringing it along if there is no solution.) And, about the router ports, is there someone that is willing to explain me about it. Or rather teach me about it? So I would consider my options of bringing these laptop along or not.
