Hello,
My name is Norman from SW Va. While I am not "deaf" I have lost a considerable amount of hearing in my left ear and some in my right I wish to get ahead of things. I am learning to sign and I will begin training a dog for hearing assistance as soon as I find the right candidate. I have been involved with dog sports for 30 years so I think I have a good chance at doing it right. Eager to meet new people and learn a little or a lot.

That's really cool! I once fostered a deaf dog, it was definitely interesting. I would always forget he was deaf, and he'd run out into the yard--I'd call after him, then feel like an idiot when he didn't respond lol. Great dog.

How/where are you learning sign?
