Hi everyone ! My name is Mitchell. I am a Registered Nurse (male) and unfortunately my typing is as bad as my sign language. I recently started working in a school for the deaf and blind. I am learning about your culture, and I think it is amazing. A question ? What is the easiest and fastest way to learn ASL ?

welcome to alldeaf! ^^

Welcome. If you are at a school for the deaf, immerse yourself. Practice with everyone you see.

It just seems so overwhelming.......so many signs.I feel like a dummy

OK here, Not liking these early nights and cold weather.................would like to be on a beach somewhere....looking @ the ocean

Plunge yourself into deaf social events - thats the best way to learn. Best of luck :)

:welcome: to AllDeaf forum. Only way to learn ASL is to go pace and give yourself time to learn ASL which is a little bit different way to talk. But if you go to the Deaf Social, then you will try to learn how to use the ASL with them. Just be yourself. Just have fun. Enjoy reading and posting all the threads here. See you around.

Yo RN, can you chill my hyper disorder? ... medicine, please.
