Hello,

My name is Angela and I live in Florida. I am married to a HIS/hearing rehab specialist, who loves his job. He is the chairman of the board of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services here in the area and the topic came up about those who cannot hear and videos on the Internet.

This got me to thinking of how people with hearing impairment access info on the Internet. There has been a shift of using videos in e-learning, as it is more engaging and one can get to know the site owner/seller, however, if you have no way of knowing what they are saying, I would think you miss this connection.

I am wanting to try to get more site owners/producers of info to make their message/info more accessible to those with hearing impairment and have put together a 6 question survey to make sure there is a need for this before delving too deeply.

All feedback would be greatly appreciated.

SURVEY

Thanks,

Angela

Welcome. Umm. I don't know about the survey that you want to ask us about using the advertising. If you are interest in only about our deafness and other topics that we have or had an experience in. You are welcome to join us for discussion but not the survey, please. We are not up to that one. There are many hearing people who are interest in our deafness, our Deaf Culture, Deaf communities and using ASL which is a big bonus for us visual Deafies and HOH(Hard Of Hearing). We are trying to teach them what is like to be Deaf and why we need those accommodations like ASL, Notetaking, close captioned programs, TDD and/or VP(videophone),etc. I hope you enjoy reading and posting all the threads here. Have fun with us. See you around.

Hi, and welcome to AD. Not sure if this is on point and me being a computer dummy but there are several programs out there (don't know their names) where one can CC their online content. And relatively easily, they say....
