Hi everyone,
It's been a very L-O-N-G time since I posted here last, but I wanted to let all of you know I'm still alive and kicking! <smile> I read messages from several of the boards, but since I've been very busy with school, I haven't had much time to post.
As some of you may recall, I'm deafblind and have a CI. I'm happy to report that I received a second CI back in February of this year. I decided to have my other ear implanted when my hearing aid no longer provided any benefit. Being able to hear with two "ears" is amazing and if I had to do it all over again, I would! <smile>
I was implanted the first time with the Nucleus 24 Contour Advance (with 3G speech processor). The second time I was implanted with the Nucleus Freedom. Since my CI center gave me two processors for each ear, I'm excited to try the Freedom BTE for my N24CA. So far, I've read nothing but positive comments from those who have upgraded from the 3G to the Freedom, so I'm very excited to try it for myself! <smile>
Well that's about it for now! I look forward to participating on the boards and communicating with all of you once again! <smile>
