My name is Joe, I'm 26.
I'm not deaf or hard of hearing
This is not quite true, I have had hearing problems since I was born in my right ear, and have had so many punctures in my ear drum, that my doctor, whom I visitied once a week, thought my eardrum looked like a road map. For a good portion of my life I have had 50-75% hearing loss out of that ear. I now of the habit of putting people I actually want to listen to on my left, and people I would like to ignore on my right.
What I am hear for is research, What I want know is stories about experinces that would not of had happened were not one or more of the parties invovled was deaf. The research will be going into a story, any story I use will be changed, and given my own twist, but not being deaf myself, I doubt I could create an acrute picture of reality with out help.
The kind of stories I am looking for are either funny or sad, I would like a good mixture of both. Stories about things that happen everyday are also apprieciated, that while not funny or sad, just happen and would make the portrail of any character more real, by having such events occur.
