Hello! Strange question, I know...

Hello! My name is CJ and Im from Aptos, Ca. Im hard of hearing, and am currently taking an ASL class at Cabrillo College. I have a little project in my class, and I was wondering if there is anyone here who can give me a hand.

My class has been giving reports on Deaf culture subjects, such as Deaf Olympics, Deaf actors, National Theatre for the Deaf..etc. My report is on hearing aid service dogs, and I was wondering if there is anyone in the Aptos, Santa Cruz area that has a hearing aid dog. If so, is there anyone that would like to come to my class? (with service dog.) My class is a great group of people, and I thought it might be fun and informative to have a little demonstration/discussion. Ive never met a hearing aid dog before myself, and I thought it would be interesting to have some first hand knowledge and experience to share with the class.

The class is tomorrow, from 10:20am to 12:30pm. I know this is short notice, but its mid term week, and I got tangled up in my three other classes. : p If you can make it, please send an email (prettycloud@live.com) and we'll work something out. I really appreciate it, take care everyone!

have a thought - in addition to here, maybe if people interested at Canine Companions for Independence in Santa Rosa <CA>, they could see if they could direct you appropriately in some way .....another organization, a client......? <thinking aloud> I am not Deaf but have worked with service dogs, of which a signal alert dog is one type.
