Thanks for the warm welcome! I have a follow up video. Apparently I wasn't signing in ASL...but rather, in SEE.

SOMETHING I HAVE TO WORK ON!

Let me know if you have any other tips! And yes I know, I sway back and forth too much apparently too ;)

Not bad, but you need to practice more by working on your SEE or ASL. It takes time to get that fluent, beside no one is perfect. It is like a dialect. For example, when I speak, I talked in Deaf accent. If hearing people tell me that I talked too well. I don't believe that because I know I don't use the sounds like them and I mispronounce a lot often.

I can see that you are very much interest in trying to sign as you want to make friends with us here. Thank you for showing your second video. Your introduction show that you are very interest in being with the deaf people. You, rock, man! :D

Thank you so much !!! :)

I want to get the grammar better. But for now, vocabulary is my priority.

New video of glossing to music!

Do you really think so? My first video had subtitles but I was heavily criticized for it because it "distracted from the sign language."

I like having subtitles too - helps me learn the ASL signs. :)

But that said...

When I see subtitles on Auslan videos (Which I now know quite well), I do think it "distracts from the sign language"...

With closed captions (as opposed to open captions), you can at least turn them on or off as you choose, but I'm personally ambivalent when it comes to picking a side... Just concentrate on the sign language and you'll be right!
