Hello everyone
Im Michelle im 37 years old, i have 4 children ages 11, 10, 8 and 2 and a lovely hubby.
I have otosclerosis (stapes and cochlear), i wear 2 Oticon spirit II hearing aids my hearing loss is 60-70% right ear and 50-60% left ear, i was diagonsed with this in Jan 05 after suffering hearing loss for approx 10 years.(I tried to pretend it wasnt that bad for a long while until i found it increasingly difficult to hear things and people talking!!)
When i had my aids fitted in April 05 i could finally hear my little girl talking so clearly for the 1st time, that was an amazing moment for me.
I want to learn BSL but the courses are hard to get on in my area so im on a waiting list at the moment.
