Hello everyone. I'm a deaf teenager, born in Sweden, and raised in the UK. I now live in the Midwest, USA. I became deaf this year, actually, caused by numerous ear infections.

I'm trying to learn ASL, so I can get around easier, because I usually lip read, or pass notes.

I'm also learning to write Swedish.
 
Welcome and I am very pleased to meet you. My family is from Gothenburg, Sweden! And the other side of my family from parts of UK (mainly Ireland) I'm a Swed/Irish gal! How are you coming along with your Swedish?

You could if you wanted to, transfer to deaf school or dhh program and learn ASL through there.
