Hi I'm Alex and live in the UK.
Decided to join this website for a number of reasons. My friend who was deaf passed away when we were 16. She used to dance quite well to music.
As a writer I draw from a lot of experiences and this has been quite profound for me.
I'm writing a book called Hurricane Music and my main character is deaf from Rubella when her mother was pregnant. Its the same as my friend.
With my own experiences I can draw up an idea of what its like to be completely deaf but I'm interested to know how people with this relate to music!?
My friend would dance at Gypsy nights with me perfectly in beat. I'd love to know more. I'm happy to have learned sign language and have made deaf friends since losing Stacey.
I'm hoping alldeaf can help me understand better and make some friends.
