I'm almost 50, been completely deaf in my left ear from birth. No auditory nerve. I had about a 25% hearing loss in my right ear. As I've gotten older, my hearing has gotten worse in my right ear too, now about a 50% loss in that ear. It makes life...challenging, doesn't it?

now I'm down 2 70%

Congrat on your hearing loss, it makes life far more interesting, does it not? :P

It can be used to your advantage. If someone's irritating you, just tell them "I don't hear very well" and they are obligated to repeat most of what they've said.

to AllDeaf forum. Well, that is the way of the Deaf World. It is very interesting more than in the hearing world. Get use to it while you are losing more than 25% hearing loss in your right ear.
