Hi everyone! I just joined the community and wanted to introduce myself. I'm a 45, wife, mother, full-time student, hearing woman. I am taking ASL classes this semester. So far, I haven't made too many mistakes, well except for asking one of my classmates What he was born instead of Where he was born!
Yes, I am enjoying learning the language and about Deaf culture. No, I do not think any of you need "fixing". Some of the attitudes I have seen with classmates have been interesting, but please understand that my mind is open and I look forward to getting to know everyone!
