Good to find you all. I am a 64-year-old retired journalist. I have been profoundly HOH since before second grade and I have worn a hearing aid and read lips my whole life. I learned to speak before I lost my hearing. I attended the public schools and grew up in the hearing world. A tough place to be: You neither belong to the world of the hearing nor the world of the deaf.
