Hello, I am 100% deaf since I was born then I went go to 2 deaf school then graduation and been independence own business for 12 years. I want meet new deaf people because I am deaf too, I love to be deaf, deaf is awesome and I love sign language but sometime I do angry at hearing world for racist over deaf people, why hearing people thinking deaf is dumb or retard or handicapped? make me not like it and piss off but I can ignored it and I feel like one day, deaf should act to fight and build a new deaf government, deaf army, deaf police, deaf doctor, deaf lawyer in one small country and one city "New Deaf City" sound like cool? look at Native, they did fight it in more than 100 years ago but Native is not alone, Black did and Muslim did then why not next deaf? we deaf should fight it to wake up world and show everywhere news then United Nation will realize it because deaf population need get happy living but I know really not easy to do, I know I do wish in my own dream.
 
:welcome to AllDeaf forum. I know it is not easy when you feel like being discrimination from hearing people who ignored and not understanding us. I am a Woodland Cree (Native). We are not alone as there are other people like Jewish people who suffer more worse than we are and other people who comes from different countries having to suffer under their own governments. We tried to reason with Anti-ASL like Alexander Graham Bell Associations and others. AGBers want us to talk and hear like hearing people which is impossible even with CI and want to ban ASL. So you are not alone and it is all over the world for Deaf people to have a right to have sign languages in their countries. We will continue to fight for our right to use ASL and make our own decision without hearing people interfering our Deaf Life. But that is life. Anyway, I hope you have fun reading and posting all the threads here. See you around. :wave:

I think discrimination against anyone for any reason is unacceptable. I think the solution is communication though, not isolation.

My life is mixed blood since I was born in Hamilton, Ontario and I even not know for 25 years until few years ago, my Familys did admit it to me that Alexander Graham Bell was my relatives because my dad's side (my grandma) her last name is Bell when she is not marry and she was born in near 100 years ago farm in Hamilton-Brantford area, Alexander Graham Bell is my great uncle? or what? I still not know because my familys already dying and most of them passed away, that why my middle name is Graham. You did bring "Jewish" Subject, one thing you not know about my mom's side (my grandma from The Netherlands and She was a Jewish) anyway She did escaped from Nazi War in World War II and She did become Christian since World War II until now, I know my blood is mixed it, but I dont mind who I am and I am proud that Jewish is my part blood! :D

I know Native, Jewish, Black and Muslim did successful to show World but where is Deaf? I been waiting for long time but I realized it, soon anytime deaf should be next because I did noticed many deaf people did become suffer with this world because many government are racist and anti-deaf, you know in China, China already have 15,000 Chinese on Cochlear Implant but in 2002 that around 10,000 American in the USA and an additional 49,000 people Worldwide have received Cochlear Implants then end of 2007, the total number of Cochlear Implant recipients has grown to an estimated 120,000 worldwide. When I saw this make me scared because one day, Deaf History will destroy? and Deaf Culture will destroy too? come on? think about it, Government will not care if we do nothing. I really not afraid of Government or World, I want show them that we fight for our own freedom and human rights!

Anyway I do agreed with you "This is Life" and :wave:
