Hello everyone. I have been deaf for three years because of brain surgery I have NF2 . I am 54 years old with a wife and three kids. Kids are all married and gone. I like to restore classic cars. I like to hunt and fish. I hunt with a crossbow and rifle. I went to school to learn signing but didn't learn anything because I was the only deaf person in the class and the teacher spent all her time teaching the people who could hear I guess I was to much trouble so I didn't go back. I live in northwest Oklahoma.
 
Hi and welcome. I have been deaf for a little over a year now due to a severe blood infection. I also have three children who all are away at college. There are some great people on this site. Good luck!!!
 
for me, I been that way due to an unknown cause BUT I do have a grandma with hearing loss and we both wear the same hearing aid brand.
