Hello! I am new to the forum.
Everyone has a story, so here is mine :P. I think that I have had a progressive hearing loss my entire life, but not noticeable until my mid 20's. I got my first BTE hearing aids around 26 and had to upgrade a couple years ago. It seems to continually degrade, the most in the last 8 years. I have severe loss in the high frequencies and moderate in the lows (audiogram chart: http://www.danandrose.com/Audiogram/AudiogramSmall.jpg). I don't know anyone with any type of hearing loss, so I am hoping to meet some new folks and I am sure I will have lots of questions
My current setup are left and right BTE ReSound Azures with ear molds. They amp sounds well but I struggle with speak recognition. My biggest question is what my expectation should be with my type of loss. I struggle in most situations other than quiet background and someone talking directly at me and enunciating.
