Thank you for allowing me to join your community. In high school I had taken an ASL class which was great since I had four friends/classmates that were deaf. Now that my children are older, I have returned to college and when I seen that a course in ASL was offered I jumped at the opportunity to take the class. I can’t believe how many signs I have forgotten over the years. It was just so much easier in high school, because I had friends I seen five days a week to use the signs I was learning and if I couldn’t get a sign just right all I had to do is ask and they would happily show me the right way it was done. Perhaps, it is hard because I am old. 
Again, I thank you all for sharing your community with me and hopefully I can find some good friends here. ~Dawn
