I am Bob. I live in western Maryland. I am a deacon and I am getting involved with a Deaf youth ministry. I have learned a lot of ASL and I am really good when I sign to myself.:cool: But, I need the realization of another to keep me honest, so to speak.

I am looking for one or several "friends" that I can become involved with to help me to immerse myself in the culture, and with learning ASL.

If anyone is living in the Metro Balto-DC area and would like to get together with me periodically to practice my signing, I would greatly appreciate that. Please email me.

I would also consider, but have not yet tried, to sign with someone on a regular basis on video cam. Does any body know the success rate to that method?

Anyway, I look forward to your help and the possible creation of a new friend!

You could also check with your local area and find out if there's a Deaf Club...which you could possibly check with members there who may be willing to help you along with the request you're looking for.
